This free random number generator picks random whole numbers between any minimum and maximum you choose. Use it to roll dice, pick lottery-style numbers, choose a winner, make a decision or generate a list of numbers for a game or classroom activity.

You can generate one number or up to 100 at once, avoid duplicates, sort the list and keep only even or odd numbers.

How to Use This Calculator

1. Enter a Min and Max value, or tap a quick range such as Dice or 1–100.
2. Choose how many numbers you want with the + and − buttons.
3. Optionally turn on No Duplicates, Sort Results, Even Only or Odd Only.
4. Press Generate Random Number. Use Copy All to copy a list.

How the Random Number Is Picked

The tool asks your browser for a secure random value and maps it onto your range:

Every whole number from Min to Max has practically the same chance of being picked. In a range of 1 to 6, each number comes up about 1 time in 6 (roughly 16.7%). In a range of 1 to 100, each number comes up about 1 time in 100 (1%).

Past results do not affect the next one. Getting the same number twice in a row is possible and normal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the numbers really random?

The generator uses your browser's secure random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), which is much stronger than the basic Math.random function. It is well suited to games, raffles, classroom picks and everyday decisions. It is not a certified system for regulated gambling or official lotteries.

Are the minimum and maximum numbers included?

Yes. Both ends of the range can be picked. A range of 1 to 6 can return 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, each with about the same chance. The tool works with whole numbers only.

How do I generate several numbers without repeats?

Increase the count with the + button and turn on No Duplicates. If you ask for more unique numbers than the range contains, for example 10 unique numbers between 1 and 6, you will only get as many as exist.

How do I roll a dice or flip a coin with this?

Use the Dice quick range (1 to 6) for a die roll. For a coin flip use 1 to 2 and decide that 1 is heads and 2 is tails. The Common Uses section has one-click buttons for both.

What do Even Only and Odd Only do?

They keep only even or odd results. Choose a range that contains at least one matching number, or the generator will have nothing to show.

How many numbers can I generate at once?

Up to 100 at a time. You can sort them from smallest to largest and copy the whole list with the Copy All button.
